USE OF PRIVATE VEHICLES FOR SCHOOL BUSINESS
AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY COVERAGE
The Lafayette Parish School Board recognizes that employees may need to use their personal vehicles for business related travel. In order to receive reimbursement for travel expenses, employees shall be required to maintain adequate automobile liability insurance in limits stipulated by the School Board. Verification of such coverage shall be submitted to the School Board in order to be eligible for School Board reimbursement of travel expenses.
In addition, employees who drive their personal vehicles for business related travel shall be subject to periodic reviews by School Board personnel of their motor vehicle driving records.
