LETTER TO PARENTS:  Last week, a letter was sent to all parents in the district stating that we are working with the Sheriff's Office to provide an educational series regarding information related to threats, terrorizing and bullying. Our goal is to educate students about the seriousness of their actions and behavior.  We will be offering this presentation to parents who would like to learn more. We would like to thank the Sheriff's department for developing such an outstanding informational series for our students.  

 

ACADIANA HIGH SCHOOL: The AHS Wreckin’ Rams football team is headed to the Class 5A state football championship this weekend.  We would like to congratulate the entire Acadiana High School community and wish them the best of luck Saturday night in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as they work to bring back the state title.

Due to the resignation of Erick Knezek, Member of School Board District 8, I move that the Board declare that a vacancy exists in the position of member of the Lafayette Parish School Board for District 8.

Members of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office provided power-point presentations for elementary education and secondary education on the educational series regarding information related to threats, terrorizing and bullying.  This information is being made available to help educate students about the seriousness of their actions and behavior; and to help parents learn more.
