LMEA HALL OF FAME:  Congratulations to Mr. Scotty Walker, band director at Lafayette High School, for being inducted into the Louisiana Music Educators Association Hall of Fame that honors music educators who "are recognized as being the most highly regarded professional leaders in music education in Louisiana."

LETTER TO PARENTS:  Last week, a letter was sent to all parents in the district stating that we are working with the Sheriff's Office to provide an educational series regarding information related to threats, terrorizing and bullying. Our goal is to educate students about the seriousness of their actions and behavior.  We will be offering this presentation to parents who would like to learn more. We would like to thank the Sheriff's department for developing such an outstanding informational series for our students.  

ACADIANA HIGH SCHOOL: The AHS Wreckin’ Rams football team is headed to the Class 5A state football championship this weekend.  We would like to congratulate the entire Acadiana High School community and wish them the best of luck Saturday night in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as they work to bring back the state title.

Members of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office provided power-point presentations for elementary education and secondary education on the educational series regarding information related to threats, terrorizing and bullying.  This information is being made available to help educate students about the seriousness of their actions and behavior; and to help parents learn more.

Resolution: That the Board approve budget revisions in the 2016 Construction Fund (Fund 58) to increase the budget for the Three All-Weather Running Tracks projects for Comeaux High School, Acadiana High School, and Carencro High School by $1,750,000 and that the board approve at a transfer of the Lafayette High Roofing Replacement project ($1,800,000 budget) from Fund 58 into the 2019A Construction Fund (Fund 71) with the funding for this project to come from the Contingency line item in Fund 71.
